Are you an Online Shopper?
Hi Everyone,
Woe already January 10. Are you looking for those New Year January Pre Inventory shopping bargains?
I wonder if you live in China, does your tax year end on Chinese New Year day or have they switched to January 1 as the official start of the new year. Then we have fiscal years, so it all get confusing. The joys of accounting and bookkeeping.
It is so easy to go off topic. I shop online. At first I was leary, but then I used to shop with catalogs and telephone orders. It is difficult to say what is the safest way. I have not been ripped off by any online merchants. I find that most companies I used to catalog shop with are not online. Land’s End has this cool website where you can get a model that sort of looks like you and try the clothes on them to get an idea how it will look. If only we all looked as good as pixel art.
If you buy and sell online and think you are going to do business with Ebay then you might want to look into a paypal account. More and more merchants are using it for payments. It is easy to set up, and now Pay Pay is Ebay so you have a trusted source to deal with. There are more and more companies like this springing up.
Trust your gut instincts and feel for using them. Never hesitate to check them out with BBB online (Better Business Bureau). Send them an email. If you are hesitant about using an online payment service then go with your feelings. There is always a way to pay for something if it is legitimate and they want to sell it to you badly enough.
The next post is going to deal with Ebay and Pay Pal Spoof Mail and what to do with it. Stay tuned.
