E-Commerce
Hello Everyone,
I thought I would talk about e-commerce today. How many of you have bought or sold anything through the internet? How many of you use online banking?
Well, I do not expect you to answer in any detail if you answer at all. It is just that e-commerce is here to stay. I personally like it for a number of reasons. First of all it opens up most of the world. Yes I have sold some items on Ebay and have shipped them overseas. It is fun to make contacts from around the world.
There are numerous ways to pay for your e-commerce purchase. Some of you may wonder if it is safe. I feel it is if you are just aware of who you are using. I prefer pay-pal. I have also used Western Union but they are more costly to use.
Like anything else please use caution when shopping on the internet. If you sign up for a service like Pay Pal, do not give out any customer service information with emails. The same goes for Ebay or any other site where you use your credit card or some method of payment. Never Never Never give that information out in an email. If you get an email that looks questionable go to the site and get the customer service email. Then forward the questionable email to them. I have had to do that. Please believe me.
E-commerce is great. It is here to stay. There are bargains to be found even with shipping and handling costs involved. I love to send flowers with FTD online. So far the people who get them have always enjoyed them.
If you have any questions please contact the company. Every E-commerce web site has contact information on it. If they do not, or they do not return your questions, find another vendor. It is that easy.
Do not use the Internet for impulse buying. That is the best way to take your time, check out the company and then to enjoy your purchase.
